Lucciola: Lucciola is Dio's best friend, and proves to be very loyal to Dio. He's very formal and refers to Dio as "Lord Dio," and he is generally protective of him. He's also willing to go along with whatever Dio is up to at the moment, even if it's potentially dangerous.

Delphine: Quite simply, Dio is terrified of his sister. He's even afraid to fly in the same skies as she. He genuinely hates her, and longs to be free from her grasp forever. Delphine wants Dio to come back to her, and perhaps she does indeed love her brother, but she knows his nature and therefore wishes to change him using whatever means nessecary to get what she wants.

Claus: Dio is somewhat fascinated by Claus, and refers to him as "Immelman" because of Claus's ability to perform an Immelman turn. He is determined to prove himself to Claus in a way, and he is constantly trying to get Claus to interact with him. Some might say he almost fancies the boy. Claus, however, is annoyed by Dio and sometimes a little weirded out by him, but in the end, he realizes he's a friend to Dio.

Alvis: Alvis likes Dio, and she goes out of her way to be friendly to him. He seems to like her too, and he apprectiates her efforts when she puts together a little birthday party for him and bakes him a cake.

Lavie: Dio and Lavie don't have too much interaction in the series, but it's clear Lavie's not too fond of Dio, and even seems to feel a little jealous of him at times.

The Mechanics: At first the mechanics on the Sylvana treat Dio like everyone else on the ship treat him, but toward the end of the series, they accept him as one of them, and participate in his little birthday bash. They give him gifts, and even sing him a Happy Birthday song.

Ressius: As one of the Guild himself, Sylvana's chief engineer is someone both Dio and Lucciola can relate to, so they often visit him and help him out. Dio often confides in Ressius about what's bothering him, and Ressius understands, perhaps giving some comfort to Dio, and a glimmer of hope.

ASCENT is a character shrine dedicated to Dio Eraclea from the anime series Last Exile.
